Built in 1395, Gyeongbokgung Palace stands as a remarkable testament to the grandeur and legacy of the Joseon dynasty. Gyeongbokgung Palace is referred to as the “Northern Palace” as it is located in the northern part of central Seoul, north of the city’s historic center. This is the most well-preserved and popular among the five grand palaces in Seoul, including Gyeongbokgung Palace, Changdeokgung Palace, Changgyeonggung Palace and Deoksugung Palace, and Gyeonghuigung Palace.
